Come grow with us this summer!
Celebrate the summer solstice by experiencing Goodell Gardens awash in the energy of the upcoming solstice! Richard Gosnell, Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide and astronomy lecturer, will discuss the significance of the summer solstice in our lives. We will then experience the healing power of the gardens as we reconnect with the more than human world by practicing some basic tools of mindfulness and meditation. When performed repeatedly, these practices help you to quiet your mind by encouraging a deeper connection with the outdoors; relaxing an overactive mind; and enhancing greater sensitivity to the patterns of nature.
Bring something light to sit on.
Meet at the Events Barn. If it is not raining, we will proceed to the grounds.
Members: $12/session Non-members: $15/session

Cost: Free for members | $7 for non-members
Ages: Adults recommended
Each workshop will conclude with an intentional walk to the Gardens’ labyrinth, led by Marian Beckwith, offering a quiet opportunity for reflection and centering.
This series is offered free of charge for members, thanks to the support of our generous donors. Please meet at the Welcome Center. While each session may be attended individually, we recommend participating in the full series for the most meaningful experience.
Enjoy the peace of twilight at Goodell Gardens and mindfully watch daytime fade to darkness while we experience the natural sound bath of night fall. Richard Gosnell, Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide and astronomy lecturer, will lead the group in this form of meditation. When performed repeatedly, these practices will help you to quiet your mind by encouraging a deeper connection with the twilight environment and a greater sensitivity to the patterns of nature. Meet at the event barn. If it is not raining, we will proceed to the labyrinth so wear waterproof shoes and dress for the weather.
